Lindsey White

Lindsey White works with photography, video, and sculpture. She has exhibited at the Contemporary Jewish Museum, San Francisco, CA; Eli Ridgway, San Francisco, CA ; ACME., Los Angeles, CA; Barengasse Museum, Zurich; SFO Museum, San Francisco, CA; Aurora Picture Show, Houston, TX; Marylhurst Art Gym, Portland, OR; Bolinas Museum, Bolinas, CA; and Deadpan Exchange II Festival, Berlin. She was 2010 and 2013 artist in residence at Headlands Center for the Arts and 2009 Fellow at the Kala Institute of Art in Berkeley, CA. White’s projects are in the public collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art Library in New York and Portland Art Museum in Oregon. She is also a co-founder of Will Brown, a para-curatorial/artist-run experiment interested in expanding the models and methods of exhibition making as a critical practice. Will Brown organizes exhibitions and events, many of which took place in their former Mission District storefront. Will Brown has realized projects with Wattis Institute, Kadist Foundation, Ulrich Museum of Art, di Rosa, Headlands Center of the Arts, and  the Berkeley Museum of Art/Pacific Film Archive. Press from her projects has appeared in the New York Times, Frieze, KQED, Artforum, the San Francisco Chronicle, and Art Practical. White received a BFA from the Pacific Northwest College of Art and an MFA from California College of the Arts.
